As an analyst for Avant’s Loan business, you will leverage analytics and technical skills to solve major business challenges. You will team with enthusiastic colleagues across different functions to develop and test strategies that ultimately impact the bottom line. You will provide management insights that will influence critical business decisions.

What you do:

• Reporting

  • Maintain monthly reporting on loan portfolio volume, revenue, and risk performance and identify production issues

  • Support the development and maintenance of portfolio volume, revenue, and risk projections

• Analysis

  • Identify business insights using big data, and develop and present recommendations

  • Perform ad-hoc analysis to identify opportunities to improve the loan product performance

  • Support policy development using analytical methods such as segmentation, hypothesis testing, etc.

  • Communicate strategies/proposals/solutions to key stakeholders

• Strategy Implementation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners on new initiatives, project requests, prioritization and delivery

  • Identify opportunities for automation and system improvements

  • Improve internal and external processes
    

Why you're a fit:

• Master's degree or bachelor's degree with 1+ year of experience in financial services or data analytics is preferred. New Graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to handle and execute complex projects in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision and successfully meet established deadlines

• Experience using SQL and/or Python

• Exceptional attention to detail and organization

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Self-confidence, good judgment, and the ability to make sound decisions

• An inquisitive mindset and an openness to do things differently and more efficiently
