We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing solutions for healthcare eligibility files using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) specifications. The role requires expertise in our technology stack, which includes Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare and a deep understanding of EDI standards.

What you'll do:

  • Architect and Design Solutions: Develop and implement architectural solutions for processing healthcare eligibility files using EDI (834 Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance) specifications.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
  • Technology Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance on the use of Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and AWS to develop robust and scalable solutions.
  • EDI Management: Ensure the proper handling and processing of EDI transactions, including eligibility and other healthcare-related EDI (834 Benefit Enrollment and Maintenance) files.
  • System Integration: Design and implement integration solutions between internal systems and external customers and partners.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in applications and databases, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation of solutions and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, proposing and implementing continuous improvements to the architecture and processes.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) in Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, with specific experience in healthcare EDI specifications.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.

    • Proficiency in PostgreSQL for database management.

    • Hands-on experience with AWS for cloud infrastructure and services.

    • Expertise in designing, developing, and scaling RESTful APIs to ensure robust and efficient data exchange between systems, with a focus on high performance and security.

    • Healthcare Knowledge: Deep understanding of healthcare EDI standards and experience with eligibility files.

  • Analytical Skills:Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, EDI Specialist) are a plus

Pay Transparency Statement

This is a hybrid position based out of our Lehi office, with the expectation of being in office at least two weekdays per week. #LI-hybrid

The actual pay rate offered within the range will depend on factors including geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for stock options and benefits like health insurance, 401k, and paid time off.
