SALES DATA ANALYST AND PROCESS DEVELOPMENT LEAD (STARLINK ENTERPRISE)
Reporting directly to the VP of Starlink Commercial Sales, the Enterprise Sales Data Analyst and Process Development Lead will equip SpaceX’s sales teams with the data, insights and tools necessary to support business development. The role primary effort will be the analysis and creation of internal and external data sets in support of Starlink service roll out across the various verticals and regions. Additionally, the role will require the building of internal tools to manage and communicate these data sets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver actionable insights through data analysis and synthesize results in succinct presentations to aid senior management in decision making.
- Work with internal CRM data to create tools to manage sales pipeline reporting.
- Build forecasting and tracking tools to drive the team’s key performance metrics.
- Identify, scope, and prototype software tools to enable enterprise sales teams to operationalize sales and fulfillment in the most efficient way possible.
- Support business intelligence reporting, marketing execution, and ad hoc analysis.
- Support analysis and targeting of sales efforts through statistical modeling, customer segmentation and profiling, and data mining.
- Develop and maintain authoritative data sources to drive decision-making.
- Actively collaborate to apply learning to other channels/products/business units.
- Reconcile divergent demands of multiple stakeholders in a fast work environment.
- Participate in proposal development.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (math, science, or engineering).
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and reporting.
- 2+ years of experience in strategy, market analysis, and forecasting.
- Experience using SQL to aggregate data across disparate databases.
- Experience with data visualization tools to create intuitive and user-friendly dashboards.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software engineering.
- Experience using PowerBI for data visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive multi-disciplinary projects to completion.
- Hands-on project experience, preferably as a team or sub-team lead with demonstrated responsibility and accountability to the project and peers.
- Bias to action and demonstrated capability of “shipping product” in short time frames.
- Strong understanding of hardware and software engineering first principles.
- Demonstrated ability to challenge requirements and synthesize true user needs.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, as well as written and verbale communication skills.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude for the products you’ve supported.
- Strong understanding of satellite communication technologies.
- Strong analytical skills in business and technical issues.
- Ability to assess market trends that indicate business opportunities several years in the future.
- Strong background with modeling in Microsoft Excel and presenting quantitative analysis in PowerPoint.
- Python (or equivalency) to setup data pipelines between systems.
- Experience as a management consultant at one of the top-tier consulting firms.
- Working knowledge of both commercial satellite markets and other terrestrial connectivity solutions.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range:
Sales Lead: $110,000 - $180,000/per year
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
