TEST TECHNICIAN (PRECISION MACHINING) - 2ND SHIFT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate production test systems and ensure all areas are operating at rate; including: VNA (Vector Network Analyzer) and precision inspection operations.
- Operate test systems using graphical and text-based interfaces (written in Bash and Python) running on Linux and Windows operating systems
- Triage VNA test failures as they relate to dimensional and machining errors
- Perform first level troubleshooting of test system errors via interpretation of test logs and telemetry
- Support procedure development and documentation for testing, equipment maintenance, assembly, and anomaly handling.
- Report findings and trends in VNA failures and Out-Of-Tolerance dimensional inspection reports for further investigation and dispositions.
- Aid efforts to root-cause equipment failures and develop permanent resolutions for issues found during test operations.
- Perform dispositions for basic failure modes on nonconforming/failed tests and execute repairs or removals/replacements per said dispositions
- Perform additional assignments as required by staffing and schedule
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of test equipment
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school degree or equivalency certificate
- 2+ years of experience working in a hands-on technical position or a bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working and administering a mixed Linux/Windows environment
- Python and/or Bash scripting experience
- Strong understanding of technical documentation, engineering drawings, and schematics
- Strong computer and analytical skills including proficiency in spreadsheets, databases, shop floor management software (MES/ERP) and related programs
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to navigate and manipulate files
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed. Estimated shift time, 2nd shift: 3 PM - 1:30 AM
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Test Technician (Precision Machining)/Level 1: $22.00 - $29.00/hour
Test Technician (Precision Machining)/Level 2: $27.00 - $34.50/hour
Test Technician (Precision Machining)/Level 3: $32.00 - $40.00/hour
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
