We are currently seeking individuals to support the Prop Weldment shop in Starbase. The Prop Weldment shop constructs feedline hardware for downstream customers on both the Booster and Starship integration teams. This position will require a highly motivated and adaptable individual who is willing to push the limits on production capability in order to drive humanity to the stars.


  • Follow established procedures to setup and operate the orbital welding system
  • Work from blueprints and approved drawings
  • Cut and prepare all tubing and fittings used in the welding operation
  • Perform setup of the welding system
  • Assemble and calibrate liquid controllers and systems as required
  • Inspect all completed assemblies using the borescope inspection system
  • Maintain an adequate supply of spare parts for the welding system
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Maintain a file of all work records


  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • Welding, machining or manufacturing experience


  • 3+ years of orbital tube welding experience
  • A&P license
  • TIG welding experience
  • Experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment


  • Must be available for all shifts (day shift, 6 AM - 6 PM or night shift, 6 PM - 6 AM), overtime and weekends as the schedule varies depending on site operational needs; flexibility is required
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours min
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces


Pay range:

Orbital Tube Welder/Level 1: $18.00/hour
Orbital Tube Welder/Level 2: $23.00/hour
Orbital Tube Welder/Level 3: $28.00/hour

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
