What you’ll do
The Solutions Engineering team partners with our GTM teams and customers to realize their full potential through the adoption of prescriptive solutions that drive their growth and success. You will work with founders, C-level executives, finance leaders, product design and engineering teams across a range of startups to large global brands and platforms who are building financial services solutions.
You will be a part of the founding team of Solutions Engineers making sure Bridge customers understand the value of our solutions, that they know how to properly integrate with our technology, and that they’re supported throughout their journey with Bridge. You will design the strategy for this team, and execute it.
Responsibilities
- Work to deeply understand the customer’s business objectives, and then design and apply Bridge’s solutions to their challenges.
- Understands how to write good, clean code in multiple programming languages, as well as how to read code that might not be quite as well written
- Lead strategy engagements with users to align to business priorities, design solutions and secure the technical win by performing in-depth customer discovery, evangelizing the proposed solutions through executive briefings, readouts, presentations and solution demos.
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including API references, integration guides and code snippets, ensuring clarity and accuracy as products evolve.
- Maintain a deep, up-to-date understanding of Bridge’s products, becoming a go-to resource internally and externally for technical product knowledge.
- Collaborate with our GTM, Product, Engineering, and Support teams, proactively sharing insights from customer interactions to improve product functionality and documentation quality.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
- Are comfortable working closely with developers, product teams, and support engineers to ensure documentation accuracy.
- Can work with developers on POCs and explain rationales for various API aspects.
- Enjoy creating clarity in written form - you will maintain the docs that externally represent our APIs.
- Are capable of documenting products from scratch, including conceptual overviews, task-based guides, APIs, and tutorials.
- Can maintain content quality on an ongoing basis through user feedback, reviewing support tickets, and partnering with solutions architects.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity, action-oriented, and able to move forward without clear guidelines or instructions.
- Are proficient in Markdown, Git, and VSCode.
Preferred qualifications
- Enjoys writing in a clear and quick manner
- General software engineering skills are important to us, as we understand that new languages and frameworks can be learned if you understand the concepts
- Experience teaching or coaching developers
- Comfort working with a great deal of autonomy and limited supervision
- Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or a related analytical field of study
The annual US base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $300,000. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the US may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
