Your Opportunity

Sysdig is seeking a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) to drive revenue for its Secure DevOps Platform in the New York City area. This is a quota-carrying senior sales position responsible for managing and closing business with our most strategic existing Enterprise customers and prospects. Strategic Account Managers ensure the successful adoption of our monitoring and security tools while driving the expansion of their usage into new lines of business within our largest and most strategic customers. Demand for our offering has skyrocketed over the last 12 months as customers realize that legacy tools simply don’t cut it in the new stack. Kubernetes and containers require purpose-built solutions designed for the cloud. Sysdig is already the Secure DevOps platform for hundreds of Enterprises, and we are just getting started.

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and execute sales plans for your assigned global accounts
  • Forecast, meet, and exceed quota
  • Manage complex sales campaigns with multiple engagement points in Application Development, IT Operations, and Security Operations
  • Align the value of Sysdig’s platform to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Effectively manage internal cross-functional teams and resources
  • Drive executive alignment between the Sysdig C-Suite and customer C-Suite
  • Collaborate on and improve all aspects of the sales cycle, including product, support, and sales engineering
  • Work with and enable Partner ecosystem
  • Understand the competitive market, being familiar with competing companies and their offerings

Your Background

  • 10 + years of IT sales experience
  • Significant experience closing complex transactions with Fortune 500 customers
  • Domain experience with one or more of the following required: Compute platforms (Kubernetes, VMware, Pivotal, Openstack, Docker, DCOS, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Monitoring software, Data Center Security
  • Strong track record of consistently overachieving sales targets
  • Strong executive presence, communication skills, and credibility. Experience working with C-level executives at F500 organizations

The U.S. annual on target earnings (OTE) range for this full-time position is between $280,000 and $340,000/year. This range represents a combination of annual base pay and targeted commission. Actual offers may be higher or lower than this range based on a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) the candidate’s work location, job-related skills, experience and education.
