Today, we are creating the technology to increase tunneling speed and decrease costs by a factor of 10 or more with the ultimate goal of making Hyperloop adoption viable and enabling rapid transit across densely populated regions.</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><span>As part of the Software team in Las Vegas, you will focus on building and operating the Vegas Loop, a 78 miles and 108 stations underground transportation system.</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Responsibilities</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Design and build scalable front-end and back-end applications to optimize operations and streamline processes for the Vegas Loop and The Boring Company's tunneling projects.</span></li> <li><span>Design and manage relational database schemas, ensuring efficient data handling, query optimization, and secure data storage.</span></li> <li><span>Create reporting tools and dashboards for real-time operational insights, focusing on scheduling and efficiency of the Vegas Loop.</span></li> <li><span>Work with internal and external stakeholders to align tools with business needs, integrate industry best practices, and maintain system reliability in a fast-paced environment.</span></li> <li><span>Provide troubleshooting support during Vegas Loop operational hours.</span></li> </ul> <div><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.</span></li> <li><span>Experience in front end and back end web development (React, Angular, or Vanilla JavaScript front end languages, and Node.js, Go (Golang), or Python back-end languages).</span></li> <li><span>Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.), including experience with database schema design, query optimization, and data management best practices.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively across teams, and stay current with industry trends.</span></li> <li><span>A portfolio of deployed web applications.</span></li> <li><span>Strong independent debugging and quantitative reasoning skills.</span></li> </ul> <div><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div> <ul> <li><span>Experience with cloud platforms like AWS</span></li> <li><span>Background in cybersecurity and secure coding practices.</span></li> <li><span>Experience with iOS development.</span></li> </ul> <div><br></div> <div><strong>Additional Requirements</strong></div> <div><span>Ability to work long hours and weekends as necessary.</span></div> </div></div>
