Overview:
Operations Interns will be given almost as much responsibility as a regular employee. At The Boring Company, 'ownership' is one of our values and we expect all employees (interns included) to own their projects. If hired, you will work in a fast paced environment where everyone is working towards the common goal of revolutionizing transportation.

Business/Project Development (Part-Time)(Bastrop & Vegas): Support project development by identifying, tracking and pursuing project leads, assist with the preparation of proposals and marketing materials.
Purchasing (Bastrop & Vegas): First-hand experience analyzing supplier and spend data, communicating with suppliers, purchasing direct and/or indirect goods or services, and support of various projects like creating and implementing new processes.
Accounting & Finance (Part-Time)(Bastrop Only): Facilitate invoice processing, daily reconciliation of transactions, and monthly close process (Accounting) and support budget tracking and management and perform spend analysis to generate useful insights (Finance)
Operations (Bastrop & Vegas): Liaison between management and team members in communicating matters related to scheduling and coordination of active construction and facilities projects.
Corporate Affairs (Vegas Only): Conduct research on a wide range of business and legal issues. Support the deal-making process from start to finish, e.g., from structuring the business model to negotiating the contract
Basic Qualifications
- Completed or pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience in engineering, logistics, construction, real estate, or business development.
- Experience supporting a team in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Ability to act urgently and communicate often and clearly.
- Superior organizational skills including excellent written and verbal communication.
- Initiative in resolving problems and an independent worker, with enthusiasm and an energetic approach to work.
- Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously.
